How many words do we need for “Love?” Is the love I have for my husband different from the love I have for my cats? What about the love of my children and friends? Philosophers and theologians have long divided the concept of love into bits and pieces – a little Agape here, a bit of Philia there … Following the line of the mystics, for this Valentine sermon, we will look at the unity of love. In honor of Black History Month, we will give special attention to the wisdom of Howard Thurman.
