Dear St. John’s,

Building on great success last year, St. John’s members and friends are again asked to make a pledge of financial support for our operating budget. Pledges support our minister and staff, enable enriching programs, and keep the lights on in our beautiful sanctuary and busy facilities.

This year’s theme for the pledge campaign -“Together, Weaving Our Future” – brings to mind all the ways that the St. John’s community is created by what we say, what we do, what we dream.

Our financial support for St. John’s ensures that this vibrant community can weave together its talents, energy and wisdom to create the future our values and our hearts lead us toward. Making your pledge really does help St. John’s create a powerful future for our congregation and strengthen our vital work in the community.

What makes our congregation different from other organizations that are “doing good” is that we are connected and motivated by our faith, based on love, a belief in pluralism, respect for the gifts and talents of all, the freedom to be who we are, and a commitment to learn and grow in our changing world. St. John’s community brings together our rich diversity to build a world of love and justice.

With our pledges, freely made, we say yes to St. John’s, to the values of our UU faith, and to all the ways we weave together our gifts to transform the world.
