Community Fair Nov. 9 Promoting all our activities
Team and committee leaders: Please mark your calendars for the COMMUNITY FAIR on Nov. 9 following the service. You must reserve your table in Krolfifer in order to share with congregants the work you do. This is designed to attract more volunteers for your group or simply to let people know your focus. It will be a day of fun and learning for all.
And to everyone else. Please plan to attend St. John’s Community Fair to learn about our various teams and committees. More information to come in the E-news.
Soup and Bread lunches return
The first Soup and Bread lunch, in support of our Partner Church in Szentlaszlo, Romania, will be on Oct. 5. Look for the sign-up poster in Haehnle Foyer and sign up to bring soup, bread, or dessert as you are able. These lunches have been happening for many years now. They serve to raise money for the Unitarian congregation in Szentlaszlo as well as a community gathering time for us.
Yard Upkeep, Next Day, Saturday, Sept. 20.
David Terry, our member grounds carer, invites other volunteers to help him spruce up St. John’s grounds the 3rd Saturdays of the month, from 9 a.m.-noon.
Men’s Group Retreat
Instead of its first Sunday monthly potluck at church, the Men’s Group holds its annual retreat at Twin Towers on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 9 to 3. Interested newcomers who missed the registration deadline can get program details and sign up with Howard Tolley no later than Sunday, Oct. 5.
