Yard Sale Q&Ayard sale name and date

If I bring things to sell at the yard sale, will I make any money?

No, this is a fundraiser for the church. What you bring is a donation.

If my things don’t sell, will I get them back?

If you are present at the end of the sale, you can pick out your things, but we’ll have a truck loading up everything that doesn’t sell to take it to a thrift shop.

What kinds of things shall I donate?

Children’s clothes, kitchen items, dishes, linens, toys, games, puzzles, home decor, jewelry, CDs, DVDs, books, workout or sports gear, furniture, working electronics and small appliances – just about anything that is in good condition and clean.

I can’t decide if something would sell!

If it’s clean and in good condition and you no longer want it, bring it. After the sale everything left goes to a thrift store.

Should I price my items?

No. A couple volunteers will do that in order to have consistency. However, DO mark sizes or add a tag with anything a buyer should know about the item.

When can I drop off my stuff?

Not until after July 15 – we’ll keep you updated about specific days and times.

Can I help?   PLEASE DO!   We need lots of volunteers! We’ll need help setting up tables, setting up tents, arranging items, pricing, making signs and other advertising, transporting items at the end of the sale to a thrift shop (do you have a truck?), taking things down, taking money, circulating to talk with customers, having water (and food?) on hand for volunteers. Some of this can be done during the days before the actual sale.
