Ceremonies

Weddings

Host your wedding in our beautiful Sanctuary or in our intimate Chapel. Whether you are planning a traditional service or wish to create a unique ceremony, you will feel at home in this spiritual setting that respects and welcomes interfaith and non-traditional couples. You do not need to be a member of this or any congregation to hold your wedding here. Our minister will help you craft a service that speaks to your own tradition, or you may provide your own clergy. A grand piano and space for alternative music will complete your service.

Memorial Services

Scheduling, coordinating and carrying out the memorial service can be a difficult prospect, especially while also coping with grief over the loss of the departed loved one. This can be especially difficult if you or your family is not a member of a church, or your departed one did not wish to have a service held within a traditional church. St. Johns can provide the comfort of a “traditional” church environment to those who need it without many of the strictures of other churches.

Families without a church affiliation or with mixed religious beliefs may choose to commemorate the lives of their loved ones in our sanctuary. Our minister can give careful consideration to the thoughts, feelings, and well-being of the family as well as the unique life of the deceased and can work with you to design an appropriate ceremony to commemorate the passing of your loved one.
