Soil Communion: Service for Earth Day

We all come from the earth and are nourished by the earth. Today we gather with song, celebration, and ritual. Today we gather to get our hands dirty making seed bombs and bringing soil from our garden, yards, and even house plants to church to be combined in a single bowl and added to the church gardens. This service will be in two parts.  Rob Thacker has prepared an exceptional series of celebratory hymns and choral offerings. After the indoor worship, we will go to the front yard for refreshments, to share in soil communion, and make seed bombs to take home.
