Welcoming Neighbors Through Found House

St. John’s, which has supported temporary emergency housing for families for many years, becomes a hosting congregation this fall, 2023, with Found House.

Four families in Found House’s emergency shelter program will stay with us Oct. 15-22 and we’re getting ready! Hear this story for all ages with Laura Bange and Iris on this topic.

From transporting cots to doing laundry to organizing a donation drive for hosting (cleaning products, pantry items, diapers, games, etc.), it’s a congregation-wide effort. See if you can help on this signup: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040b49aaa62aa75-2023#/

Also please come to our information and training session 1-3 p.m. Sept. 24.

The training will be led by Stacey Burge, executive director of Found House/Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Families and individuals of all ages can help make these families welcome. Listen to St. John’s member Emily Hodges about her first experience this year with Found House: https://youtu.be/d4Sl9JIimcM
