Men’s Group – May 11
The Men’s Group will meet Sunday, May 11, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in Krolfifer Hall. The potluck dinner is first. Please bring your own drink, dishware, and utensils. At 7 p.m. we’ll have an informal, free-form discussion and conversation on this topic: “The journey on the Road of Life leads to a dead end. Let’s explore our lives on the road during the past 30 years – major decisions we’ve made, decisions we’re making now (or should be making) and what decisions or plans we want/need to make before we reach the end of the road.” (Thank you to Cliff Shisler for suggesting this topic.)
UU 101 course: There is still time to sign up!
Rev. Jenn is hosting three UU 101 classes that will cover UU history, UU theology and St. John’s. It is oriented toward new friends and/or people who are considering membership and anyone is welcome to attend!
If you have been here for two services or 2000 you are welcome! The classes will be on Zoom from 7 pm-8:30 pm on Fridays, May 9, May 16, and May 23. If you are interested but cannot attend, please let Rev. Jenn know and you can have conversations about it or she can connect you with some other resources.
UU our Ohio Senators
As Unitarian Universalists, we are looking for ways that we can act and speak out in a collective way about the crisis of growing authoritarianism in our federal government.
First Unitarian and two UU churches in northern Ohio have designed postcards for us to send as people of a liberal faith to our Ohio U.S. Senators. Look for more info. in Sunday announcements.
LAFs Dinner May 9
The next Lively After 50 dinner is Friday, May 9, at Ruth’s Parkside Cafe in Northside at 6 p.m. BUT someone needs to coordinate (have diners call them and report a final tally to Ruth’s.)
Please let Anne Septic know if you can do this one task.
All are invited.
Forums and Soup & Bread Lunches are over for the season
Thanks to our Adult RE coordinators, speakers, and forum attendees.
Also, gratitude to the many folks in our congregation who support our Partner Church with our lunches. See more below.
