From Marie Inanli, Co-Director of Religious Life:
Last August, when my role at St. John’s expanded beyond OWL Coordinator, Rev. Mitra shared her vision for launching a journal. What you now know as the Seasonal Journal exists as a way to communicate, celebrate, and explore who we are, what we think, and how we feel.
We invite expressions of ideas not only in prose but also poetry and pictures, either drawings or photographs.
In conjunction with our spring theme of Abundance, we would like to publish a 12 page issue. Since I can’t corner you in Krolfifer during coffee hour or pitch you in Rosa Parks, count this as your invitation to reflect on the idea of Abundance, no matter how tangentially. Then let your ruminations flow to your sketchpad or keyboard.
If you’re cautious about submitting your creative work, please consult one of the several contributors to the current Seasonal Journal. I will do my best to honor your voice during any light editing.
The success of the Seasonal Journal depends on you! I look forward to seeing an attachment to your name pop up in programming@stjohnsuu.org.
