St. John’s has been in partnership with the Unitarian church in Nyárádszentlászló, Transylvania, for nearly thirty years. Three decades is a long time–certainly in the U.S. but also in Transylvania where the post-Communist changes have been enormous. This is a good point to step back and ask, ”Why do we have a partnership with Szentlászló? Why does it matter–now and for the next thirty years?” Rev. Bertschausen is the Executive Director of the UU Partner Church Council.
