UNSUNG HERO AWARD

UNSUNG HERO
The Unsung Hero Award is presented to a member of St. John’s who provides leadership and service that is not generally recognized by the congregation. This year we’re recognizing Wanda Crawford.

Once a month Wanda has been leading and recruiting for coffee hour and cheerfully steps up for coffee duty when volunteers are scarce. She schedules all the Welcome Table volunteers who interact with our visitors after Sunday service. Wanda is the congregational liaison to the Interfaith Hospitality Network that provides homeless families with emergency housing. She recruits volunteers from St. John’s to assist when families are staying at First UU Church and she performs many other duties for IHN.

The next time you see Wanda, please congratulate her as this year’s recipient of the Unsung Hero Award. Her name has been added to the plaque located in the chapel.
