  • Why do we tell stories, and does it matter what kind of stories we tell?
  • How do we identify the “good news” in sacred stories?
  • We will explore story telling and drama in worship.

March 26th, April 9th, April 23rd and May 7th

  • Over these four weeks, we will re-tell stories from the Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu traditions
  • We will find ways these stories speak to us today
  • We will explore writing from the perspective of the characters.
  • We will play with the settings and explore the histories of these stories.
  • We will identify teachings from these texts worth sharing. Please note, this 5-week experience could be the beginning of an on-going story telling practice. Who knows what we could do next! Fairy tales? Creation myths? Trickster stories? Come with open hearts and minds.
