Hooray, the movies at the Esquire have turned over so we have more choices! St. John’s Movie Club will meet at the Esquire Theatre on Friday, March 15. This month’s selection is Captain Marvel, chosen in honor of Women’s History Month and the requests we’ve had for something light. (Also, we received no vote choices.) Since I’ve never seen a Marvel movie and didn’t read comic books beyond Archie and Betty, this will be an adventure.
If all goes according to plan, we’ll meet in the lobby at 7:00 pm and at the church or Stillwell’s after, depending on attendance. You are invited to meet us before in the lobby, come when you please (doors close 10 minutes after the start) and/or meet us after. No RSVP necessary.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors, students, and serving military.
Plot: The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
